I’m Val, and I’ve made it my personal mission to document that LGBTQ+ community in all its diversity. Because representation is important. Especially in a world that is becoming increasingly polarized.
With documenting, I really mean documenting. My shoots are authentic and unposed. I capture moments in their reality, instead of a fabricated version.

You and your partner are in a long distancerelationship and feel so madly in love whenever you see each other, it’s a shame there’s no quality footage of it.

Or maybe you have a queer owned company and you’re looking for behind the scenes pictures. Documentary photography is cut out for this.
You do whatever you normally do, I’ll walk along and capture authentic images of your pride and joy.

OR…

A day with your friends, partner, family, or pet. The event you organized with blood, sweat and tears. A love shoot where you decide what you’ll be doing. The moment you can take off your bandages after your mastectomy. The first injection of your hormone treatment.

Or pictures of you practicing your favorite hobby. After all, it doesn’t have to be a special occasion. As long as you value authentic images, a documentary shoot is
suitable for any moment.

WHAT'S THE ADDED VALUE OF A QUEER PHOTOGRAPHER?

 

Good question! Being photographed can make you feel a little vulnerable. It can be valuable to work with someone who understands our community, doesn’t ask inappropriate questions, respects pronouns and knows how to put you in control of the situation. Also, you deserve to share your precious moments with someone who recognizes and highlights the joy and resilience of the community. My goal is not only to provide beautiful photos, but also to offer a pleasant and unforgettable experience.

 But don’t book me just because I’m queer! Of course, I also hope you like my style and that we can have an awesome collaboration!
