About
Queer documentary photographer with
an eye for pure emotions and dynamics
When you don’t see me with a camera in my hands, I’m either listening to or making music, cooking a new recipe, reading a queer classic, or you can find me in nature.
But when I do have a camera in my hands, I like to photograph spontaneous, candid moments on location. I find it most meaningful to capture pure emotions and dynamics that arise naturally. And preferably within the queer community!
I took a big detour before arriving where I find myself today. When I received my Masters degree in Musicology, I thought I wanted to continue in the academic field and taught at the university. But sometimes you have to fall flat on your face to realize that something doesn’t suit you as well as you thought it would. That moment was my burnout. For me, there was no doubt that after my recovery I wanted to continue in photography. After all, that had been my biggest hobby for years. The choice to do this within the queer community was also a no-brainer. This is the community where I feel at home and where I want to make a difference.

Lines & Lenses
The name Lines & Lenses refers to writing and photography, two things I love to do! You can find some of my writing on the blog page (soon!) and on my Instagram, but I also take on writing and translation jobs.
Moreover, the words lines and lenses stand for the various storylines and perspectives that I get to photograph. Documentary photography is a storytelling type of photography after all.
My mission
My mission is to photograph you as authentically as possible during a shoot where you’re able to feel 100% safe and relaxed. You just do what you have planned for the day. No posing, no forced smiles, and no weird vibes. Sounds good?
